Every year, many child custody cases are decided in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to the Hill Law Group, the child custody laws are the same throughout Nevada. Those child custody laws include:
I. Parental agreement laws – This means the parents may decide not to discuss any arrangement concerning the custody of their children.
II. Legal custody laws – This means that a parent who has the legal custody rights of a child can make decisions concerning the child’s material things.
III. Joint legal custody laws – This means that all parents involved can make decisions relating to issues like school and religion.
IV. Sole custody laws – This means that only the parent with the custody rights can make decisions relating to schools, religion and so on.
V. Physical custody laws – Indicates which parent has the child and when. This can be joint, primary or sole custody.
